AI now touches 81% of Antom’s payment tasks. The economics are starting to show.
Ant International says 89.5% of Antom merchants have deployed its FinAI tools and 81.4% of payment tasks are aided by AI. The company also reports lower FX costs, faster merchant activation and higher dispute-success rates in real-world cases.
The signal
Ant International says 89.5% of merchants using its main Antom payment service have deployed FinAI tools and 81.4% of payment tasks are aided by AI. The company also reports measurable operating outcomes across FX, merchant integration and payment disputes.
The economics are finally more important than the launch
Antom Autopilot reportedly cuts merchant lead time to a first transaction from days to minutes. FalconTST is reported to reduce corporate FX hedging and allocation costs by 30%–60% in real-world cases. Antom SmartDispute raises average dispute success from 24.5% to 41.8%.
What is actually agentic?
Ant describes autopilots across payment, account and treasury management, including systems that can determine when, where and how much money to move within customer-defined policies. It also supports agent-to-agent settlements as small as $0.000001.
The caveat
These metrics are company-reported. “81.4% of payment tasks aided by AI” does not mean 81.4% of payments are autonomously initiated by agents, and Ant does not disclose the dollar value of independently agent-initiated transactions.
What we watch next
Autonomous transaction value, percentage of workflows requiring human approval, realized FX savings across cohorts, dispute economics, treasury interventions and revenue attributable to the AI-native products themselves.
